Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised the Almaviva Santé group on its acquisition of the Sainte-Marguerite clinic.
Almaviva Santé is a major player in the private healthcare sector; the Sainte-Marguerite clinic is a private hospital in Hyères, on the French Riviera. The transaction was approved by the Commercial Court of Toulon as part of French judicial receivership proceedings.
With this acquisition, Almaviva Santé – which generated consolidated revenues of €618.7 million in 2024 and employs 5,500 people – has prevented the definitive closure of the Sainte-Marguerite clinic, preserving up to 160 jobs. It has also secured significant real estate by purchasing the freehold of a key clinic serving the Hyères area.
