Simon Chen joins Wei Tu Law Firm as partner

Wei Tu Law Firm*, Stephenson Harwood's associated PRC law firm, has strengthened its regional corporate practice with the arrival of partner Simon Chen.

Simon brings more than 35 years of experience advising clients on a broad range of M&A, insolvency and restructuring, private equity, capital markets and real estate matters.

"Simon has been a trusted adviser to start-ups, public companies, private funds, and policy-making bodies, and his skill and know-how will be a valuable addition to our corporate practice," said Zoe Zhou, managing partner of Wei Tu Law Firm. "He has a long and distinguished track record advising on cross-border corporate transactions, IPOs, private equity investments, and rescue and restructuring of distressed entities which will add strength and depth to our team at Wei Tu, greatly enhancing the support we provide to our clients."

CEPA (Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement) is a free trade agreement concluded between Mainland China and Hong Kong. Under CEPA, Hong Kong based law firms are permitted to operate in association with Mainland Chinese law firms to provide comprehensive legal services in Mainland China governed by Chinese and non-Chinese laws.
