Stephenson Harwood advises Enviroo on landmark PET facility

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Enviroo Project Co Limited on the development of a waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle-to-bottle washing line and pellet extrusion facility in Protos, Cheshire, UK.

A specialist and innovator in PET recycling, Enviroo Project Co Limited is a pioneering company in the recycling industry. This landmark project marks Enviroo's first facility development of its kind, focusing on producing food-grade polymer from recycled PET bottles. The facility, financed by infrastructure asset manager Reichmuth Infrastructure, represents a significant step forward in sustainable manufacturing and recycling, aligning with Enviroo's strategic goals to innovate within the environmental sector.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by Projects, Energy and Infrastructure Partner Jonathan Cripps, supported by Partner Stewart Scott, Managing Associates Phil Harris and Richard Pike, and Associates Maneet Sehmi, Francesca Cadoux-Hudson, Georgina Shenton, Sophie-Anne Brown and Isabella Clark.
